The band will be playing a headline show at The Windmill in Brixton on the 30th November;
Grounds create heavy, fast paced and hooky tracks. Meeting and bonding over their need to create a heavy-raw sound that fuse together catchy hooks that you can’t not sing along to with intense bass and blistering drums; these provide the backbone for their tracks and help shape the tracks the trio deliver.
The trio are all about the sound that you can only get when jamming three instruments loudly in a small practice room which come to life like no other when playing live. The band are making a name for themselves playing in London’s sweatbox venues like the Old Blue Last, The Victoria, Brixton Windmill, Luna in Leytonstone and The Black Heart in Camden. They’ve played alongside acts such as Thee MVP’s, Nervus, Paceshifters and Piano Wire.
In a time when bands are using sample replacements to clean up their production, Grounds have gone the opposite way. Recording a raw, live sound that’s delivered with plenty of aggro while remaining catchy.
The band is:
Louis Dales (Drums)
Charlie Robery (bass).
