Los Angeles based extreme metal masters, ABYSMAL DAWN, return with a massive display of refined brutality on their fourth full-length Obsolescence.  Obsolescence will be released October 28th in North America (UK/World October 27th and Germany/Benelux/Finland on October 24th) via Relapse Records.

Obsolescence is available for pre-order from Relapse Records HERE and digitally via Bandcamp HERE.  The album will be released on CD/LP/Digital/Deluxe Digital formats.  The CD and digital releases include a bonus cover of Dissection’s “Night’s Blood” and the digital deluxe version includes demo recordings of every song on the album.  A Relapse.com exclusive vinyl color is also available and includes a full color album cover poster.  The devastating, otherworldly artwork was created by Pär Oloffson. (The Faceless, Spawn of Possession).

Throughout the recording of Obsolescence, ABYSMAL DAWN shot a series of videos documenting the process.  Today the second video in the series showcasing the guitars is available for viewing exclusively on Metal Injection.  It can be viewed HERE.

The first video was posted last week and features the recording of the drums.  Check it out HERE.

The first song off of Obsolescence, entitled “Inanimate” can be heard on Sound Cloud.

In support of Obsolescence,ABYSMAL DAWN will be hitting the road with a handful of headline dates before joining up with Deicide.  The headline shows start September 30th in Riverside, CA and go through October 5th in Nashville, TN.   The tour with Deicide kicks off October 7th in West Springfield, VA and will run through October 28th in Dallas, TX.

The band has also announced a special listening party on September 28th at The Complex in Glendale, CA.  This will be your chance to Obsolescene in its entirety before anyone else.  There will also be raffles and giveaways as well as DJ sets from members of ABYSMAL DAWN.  More info on the event is available at: https://www.facebook.com/events/679228898838628.

ABYSMAL DAWN strikes the perfect balance between extreme songwriting and exceptional skill with an infectious blend of technical yet memorable riffs, throat shredding vocals, and crushing rhythms delivered with machine gun precision. With Obsolescence, ABYSMAL DAWN unleash a veritable beast of a record and the perfect example of what 21st century death metal should sound like.  The album was produced by Mike Bear at Artisan Road and mixed and mastered by John Haddad (Intronaut, Exhumed, Phobia) at Trench Studios.
