Avatar – Announce UK Tour Dates And New Single “Vultures Fly”

avatarNovember UK Tour Announced
Single: “Vultures Fly” Released: 17th November 2014
Album: “Hail The Apocalypse” (CD, Gain Music) Out Now
2014 has been a busy year so far for Avatar with the release of their triumphant album ‘Hail The Apocalypse’ (a USA Billboard Top 100 entry) as well as playing at the iconic Download Festival and Bloodstock Open Air. Set to finish 2014 off with a bang, the band will be doing a full UK tour this November.

Avatar’s previous album Black Waltz had massive success worldwide. The singles Smells Like a Freakshow and Let it Burn peaked on #26 on US commercial rock radio charts. This was followed by extensive and successful US tours.

Leading to the biggest break through when Avenged Sevenfold personally picked Avatar as support band on their sold out arena tour in Europe late 2013. Avatar got a reception far beyond expected by the crowds, which resulted in bookings on high profiled festivals such as Download Festival and Rock on the Range in 2014, among own headline dates of which most are soon sold out.

‘Hail The Apocalypse’ was recorded in Karma Sound Studios, Bang Saray, Thailand, mixed by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax, Steel Panther) and mastered by Paul Logus (Volbeat, Clutch, Killswitch Engage). Avatar is by many described as a perfect mix between Rammstein, Alice Cooper and System of a Down – something the band now have developed further with the video for the title track ”Hail The Apocalypse”. Avatar have gained much attention when it comes to their creativity in their self produced videos. Hail The Apocalypse is a fresh wind in a conservative metal swamp, it stands for something unique, something unexpected and something that’s been missing in the scene for the last decade.

The band killed live sets at Download and Bloodstock Open Air in 2014 so far. They are pleased to announce a full UK tour in November 2014 as part of a European run. The band will release a single “Vutures Fly”, taken from the album, to coincide with the tour
