Bloodstock announce seven new bands

We’re now past the halfway point to BLOODSTOCK with 20 weekends left before the UK’s best metal weekender!  Let’s kick that off by announcing seven more bands!

Anthemic black metallers WINTERFYLLETH join the main stage fray.  Their fifth album ‘The Dark Hereafter’ was released last October by Candlelight Records/Spinefarm.  Check out the epic tracks via BandCamp at https://winterfylleth.bandcamp.com/ and then catch the latest news over at www.facebook.com/Winterfylleth.

We’re also excited to reveal a handful of bands for the Sophie Lancaster stage.  DENDERA bring their classic metal to BLOODSTOCK for a Friday slot.

The band have their third studio album set for release this year, so expect new material!  Watch their video for ‘Claim Our Throne’ for a taster of their sound – https://youtu.be/V0bk7cdBsKI.  For more on DENDERA, check out www.dendera.co.uk or www.facebook.com/denderauk.

Saturday sees doomsters KROH join the Sophie bill.  KROH is the brainchild of Paul Kenney, founder member of both Mistress and Fukpig.  Go watch their video for ‘Mother Serpent’ over at https://youtu.be/gYLvHoMnI0s and get the latest on the band on Facebook at www.facebook.com/XKrohX.

Also landing a Saturday slot are ABHORRENT DECIMATION, whose ‘Miasmic Mutation’ album was lauded by Metal Hammer as “one of 2015’s must-have death metal records”.  Check out ‘Glaciate The Servants’ from that disc – https://youtu.be/hAbJmQSOvGU – and get more info over at www.abhorrentdecimation.com or www.facebook.com/abhorrentdecimation.

Bagging a Sunday slot are British experimental metal squad, BOSSK. The band built their name via a series of EPs and touring with the likes of Cult Of Luna, Textures, and Baroness, and are now signed to Deathwish Inc.  Their debut studio album ‘Audio Noir’ was released last year.  If that sounds like your thing, investigate further at  www.bosskonline.com or www.facebook.com/bosskonline.

We also welcome doompop outfit, COURTESANS to the Sunday bill.  The band say, “To perform at BLOODSTOCK is incredible exciting. It’s a huge honour to play the Sophie Lancaster Stage, her legacy is at the heart of our ethics. We’re advocates of equality and have a zero tolerance to any form of prejudice. We hope to raise a few eyebrows and stir some shit up!”

Their new EP ‘Better Safe Than Sober’ comes out this month.  Watch the video for ‘Mesmerise’ at: https://youtu.be/6ZstRAEkWJs and find out more at www.facebook.com/thecourtesans.

Rounding out Sunday’s additions are Brit crew, WRETCHED SOUL.  Described by Zero Tolerance as “refreshingly difficult to categorise”, Terrorizer had a go and called them, “one of the UK’s most promising underground Thrash bands.”  WRETCHED SOUL’s savage second album ‘The Ghost Road’ was released in December through UKEM Records.
