Damnation 2014 Festival Preview by Jurga

The 10th Damnation festival (which is already totally sold out!) is coming up rapidly and so in very few days the marathon of metal in Leeds will begin. Many visitors will go there for at least one of the headlining bands – Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse or Saint Vitus. Some of the festival fans will go there for the whole festival atmosphere, beers, fellow metalheads and new discoveries. Me – for discoveries and some of the bands from the list.

Here they are:

Damnation finalSolstafir. It does not matter, how many times I have seen them or I will. Even the gig in Glasgow just before Damnation, will be a perfect warm up. This is the band worth seeing each time you possibly can: enchanting atmosphere, dark melodies and north wind straight from the Iceland. Must see live band.

Revocation. Great death metal team, which happened to slip my eyes during all my concert and festival history. Not this time. After doing their new album “Deathless” review (here: planetmosh.com/revocation-deathless ), I instantly knew that  I will not miss them this time.
The interview with the band: planetmosh.com/revocation-interview-with-dan-gargiulio-october-2014 .
Where: Terrorizer stage.

Atlantis. These guys from Netherlands are totally unknown to me but after doing the pre-Damnation interview with Gilson Heitinga (here: planetmosh.com/atlantis-interview-with-gilson-heitinga-october-2014) and listening to few pieces on their website my curiosity grew enormously. That must be my newest discovery, I believe.

Orange Goblin. For my further stoner metal adventures and, most likely, the biggest band in my interest list of Damnation festival.
Where: Jagermeister stage.
