Exit State “Black Veins” cd launch party

Planetmosh hit Manchester on Friday (16TH September) night for the official Exit State “Black Veins “ launch party, “Our innocence lost”, “Afterdown” and “Velvet star” were the bands special guests, along with a shed load of media and fans, the place, Club Alter Ego on Princess street was rammed.
Ive not seen “Afterdown” before, Afterdown’s sound is predominantly Heavy Rock although certain elements of their tracks consist of Punk, Soft Rock and Metal, although they where the first band on, there was a sizeable crowd and they went down well.
Next up where another band ive not caught live before, local Manchester band “Our innocence lost”. They played a mixture of songs from their first record “Facts Called Fiction’ and a couple of new tracks from their yet untitled 2nd album, certainly a band to watch out for in the future.
Yorkshire’s “Velvet Star”, the self styled “Glam Punk Rockers” made a welcome appearance in Manchester, and certainly raised the temperature a few degrees, even an accident involving front man Danny Jones, who fell of the stage, and twisted his ankle did little to dampen their performance.
Burnley’s favorite sons “Exit State” hit the stage to thunderous applause, and proceeded to tear the place up, the band played tight, and loud, right from the off, with charismatic front man Roy bright entertaining the crowd with his pearls of wisdom, a slight problem with the curfew time meant the set was cut short, but this only made the crowd shout out for more. The band stuck around to chat to as many people as they could before we all got asked to leave.
This was the 3rd time ive seen them, and they just get better each time. Roll on the next time.
Exit State’s 2nd album entitled ‘Black Veins’ will be released on Monday 3rd October on Rocksector.
