Breaking news about Tim’s accident! (groan)

Hawkwind Theremin and Ax player, Tim Blake has broken his wrist in a freak pruning accident at his French home near Poitiers…
It seems that Monsieur Blake, was pruning the wall vines in his small vineyard, when the ladder collapsed under him, shattering his wrist.
Tim was rushed by ambulance to Poitiers University Hospital where he was operated on by the head of orthopaedics, le Professor Gayet. The plaster-cast will be taken off on August 13, and doctors will operate immediately to remove the 3 pins.
Tim will then travel to Hawkwind HQ in the UK to join the rest of the band for their performance at Rockin the Park festival in Nottinghamshire, on August 17.

Tim commented, “When the medical team saw a video of me playing with Hawkwind, they said, ‘Okay, we’ll get you playing for the 17th, but this will hurt !’”

We might well see Tim playing a little more Theremin than Ax, at Clumber, however he pointed out, “that a very expressive wrist is needed!”
