Emanating from the largely untapped but bursting at the seams hotbed of potential music that is India, Kryptos’ great idols are bands such as Coroner, Onslaught, Testament and the like, but the band has been plying its trade now for some 14 years since forming in Bangalore in 1998.
Led by vocalist / guitarist Nolan Lewis, Kryptos has played support to huge bands such as Iron Maiden and recently announced a 40 date tour of their home country in support of new album “The Coils Of Apollyon” which is getting a worldwide release through AFM on September 24th.
The band has two previous records to its name – “The Ark Of Gemini” (2008) and “Spiral Ascent” (2004), so, if Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Kreator and Coroner, all sacrificing themselves at a giant occult orgy, is right up your alley, then this is the only album you should be picking up this year.
