LIGHTBLUE are a hotly-tipped emerging pop punk/emo outfit hailing from Cheltenham. The quintet have already received favourable comparisons to Boston Manor, Brand New, and The Front Bottoms. Formed in 2015 and originally starting life under the previous moniker, Sioux Falls, LIGHTBLUE hit their local scene hard and quickly made a sizeable impact. The South West tunesters wooed audiences at 2000 Trees Festival for the past two consecutive years, playing alongside Decade, The Front Bottoms, Gnarwolves, Neck Deep, WSTR, Blood Youth, Moose Blood and Trash Boat. The band have also racked up a plethora of shows, and in the process, shared stages with Ataris, Homebound, Catch Fire, Montroze, Junior, Coast to Coast, Better Than Never, Weatherstate, and many others. More recently, LIGHTBLUE just completed a successful run of dates with Evertim, racking up appearances spanning from London and Bristol, to Birmingham and Liverpool.
Now the scene is set for LIGHTBLUE to rise up and the emotive punks have just the ammunition in the form of their new EP, Paradise Lost. Featuring three engulfing tracks, including their forthcoming single, In The Back Of My Room, which is destined to make an impact with radio and TV, this release is sure to place the band on the map. With tour plans in the pipeline, there’s nothing stopping LIGHTBLUE’s ascent.
