A series of cryptic clues, disjointed videos and a misleading website stand between you and the latest offering from Lincoln-based death metal brutes Martyr Defiled. They have taken a different approach to the release of the lead single ‘Vultures’ from their highly anticipated EP ‘In Shadows’, creating an illusive riddle for the listener to solve. The build up will end when the video drops publically via YouTube at 10pm on the 27th June.
Featuring a devastating guest vocals from Demoraliser’s James Dexter, ‘Vultures’ is a bulldozer – rolling through two minutes fourty-four seconds at an unrelenting breakneck pace, giving the listener no chance to draw breath as you’re plunged again and again into the depths of Martyr Defiled’s dark and misanthropic view on the world.
‘In Shadows’ is set for release on 3rd September via Siege of Amida Records and is 7 tracks of hate-filled death metal tinged with hardcore, doom and anthemic riffs. It is the culmination of a 2 years of lost friends, endless touring and hard work.
Martyr Defiled have set the bar for smashing the UK & Europe to pieces, and In Shadows is a clear statement of intent to raise it even higher.
