Mia Klose – Pre Fest Interview Bloodstock 2013

Mia KloseMia Klose is set to play the Jägermeister Stage at this years Bloodstock festival on Friday the 9th August.

We catch up with the band to find out more about them, the festival, their thoughts and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s will see!

Can you give the readers a quick introduction please.

I am Mia Klose based in London while originally from Sweden. I have recently released my debut album LONDON and will be playing at Bloodstock on Friday the 9th at the Jagermeister Stage (time to be announced soon).

How would you describe your sound.

80s inspired melodic classic metal/rock!

Why did you want to become part of the Jagermeister Stage line up.

How could you not want to be part of a festival line up with SLAYER in it?

What was your initial reaction when you found out you were playing on the Jagermeister.

I was so happy! I got a mail that confirmed it on the way back from our performance at the HRH AOR Festival earlier this year and me and the guys were cheering in the buss. So cool to be travelling from one awesome gig and get another one confirmed on the way back. We didn’t have any champagne on hand in the buss to celebrate with so we had to cheer with water! Haha! We were very pleased to hear the news!

Acoustic or rock set?

The Bloodstock crew recommended us to do a full on set actually, so I think that’s what we will be going for.

What can the audience expect from you at the festival.

What I hope the audience will experience is to be entertained from the first second of the set to the last! I hope it will leave the audience with a smile on their faces and I would hope they get curious to see and hear more of us.

Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it.

Yes I went to Bloodstock a few years ago to do backing vocals for my friends in Neonfly when they performed at the festival. The part I enjoyed most was to be on stage and sing of course! I didn’t get to see anything else of the festival except the stage I was performing on unfortunately as my schedule was very tight. I had to head back straight after our performance. But this year I’m hoping to see lots more of Bloodstock as I’m planning to stay there the full weekend.

What is your opinion of the Bloodstock line-up.

AWESOME! I’m a Slayer fan so I’m thrilled to be sharing the line up with them!

What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock.

Our performance and to meet lots of new cool people and fans!

Are there any bands you’re hoping to watch while you’re there ?

Yes I want to watch Slayer ofc and Anthrax, King Diamond and Lamb of God. All the headliners basically. Plus we will most definitely be in front of the stage when our good friends from One For Sorrow are playing.

Can you sum up Bloodstock in one sentence!

The heaviest metal festival in the U.K!

Any message you wish to pass on to the PM readers

Follow your dreams, catch us live at Bloodstock the 9th of August and get a copy of my debut album LONDON! J
