Seprevation, pre-Bloodstock festival interview

Seprevation is set to shake up the New Blood Stage on Sunday 12th at this year’s Bloodstock.

We catch up with the band to find out more about them, the festival and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s will see!

Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band?

Lluc Tupman – Vocals/Bass,  Joss Farrington – Guitar, Ian Aston – Guitar, Jamie Wintle – Drums

All of us were in other bands for years trying to get somewhere. After playing endless gigs and cities we were sick of getting nowhere and a lack of motivation led to their demise. We took the chance to form Seprevation in early 2011 finally being able to play the music we had always wanted to play. Taking influence from Morbid Angel, Sadus, Possessed and Kreator, we tried to emulate the bands we love in our own style and create some awesome death thrash.

Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it?

Lluc’s been going for a few years and actually played the same stage last year with his old thrash band ‘Unknown fear’. The rest of us haven’t had the chance but can’t wait to check it out.

Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?

It’s difficult to play any festival when you are just starting out, there’s not many chances you get to do this so we had to go for it. We have a load of mates also playing the New Blood Stage so it will be awesome to join them.

What was your initial reaction when you found out you where playing on the New Blood Stage?

We were a bit of a mess so it’s a bit hazy. I think none of us could quite believe it. There was lots of jager involved!

What is your opinion of the Bloodstock lineup?

There are loads of awesome bands, it’s always a great weekend but definitely looking forward to the heavier side of things this year.

What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock?

Beer and metal constantly.

What can the audience expect from you at the festival?

Well were on pretty early so if there is an audience they can expect a relentless half an hour of death thrash.

Can you sum up Bloodstock in one sentence?

Better than Download.

Any message you wish to pass on to the PM readers.

Our new EP ‘Ritual Abuse’ will be released shortly after Bloodstock so check it out.
