SINNER SINNERS To Release New Album “XI”

Ah, the days of pure, raucous, outspoken, and aggressive rock n’ roll often seem to have passed. But while this sound has almost entirely evaded the mainstream, at least one up and coming band in Los Angeles is poised to bring it back, while proving that truly honest and outstanding rock music isn’t always fuelled by animosity or anger, but often by a pure passion for music and the one you’re making it with.

Happily married couple Steve and Sam Thill met in a small town in the center of France at the age of 15 and fell fast in love. Eight years later in 2009, the couple started SINNER SINNERS out of their mutual love of rock music and desire to be at each other’s sides throughout all aspects of their musical careers. Since their inception and relocation to Los Angeles, SINNER SINNERS have pushed their forceful punk-influenced rock n’ roll out to the controlled masses, but see 2014 as a figurative launching pad designed to hit the big time.

“Being in a band with my wife – working on songs and performing shows – is a very different concept than any other band I’ve seen or been in before,” states Steve Thill. “There’s a chemistry that can’t be matched, plus we’ve been together since we’re teens and grew up together. We know each other very well and it translates well into our songwriting.”

SINNER SINNERS offers a brand new full-length album XI, which will hit digital stores via independent release on the band’s Cadavra Records on April 21, 2014. Take a listen to two new tracks,

As with their 2011 release Cardinal Sins, the band enlisted producer Nic Jodoin (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Amusement Park On Fire, The Morlocks), and recorded at the Glory Hole in Hollywood, CA (the previous album also featured production duties from Pascal Mondaz). Interesting fact, SINNER SINNERS recorded with Nic at the same time as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, actually trading places in the studio throughout the course of the process.

SINNER SINNERS do not want fans to confuse producer loyalty with a desire to do the same old thing, however. “We wanted something completely different from the first record, something more aggressive and straight forward, louder and faster,” states Steve Thill. “Strangely enough, The Doors and the Rolling Stones are probably our biggest influences and the only bands we would listen to during the writing and recording process.”

Thill adds, “We love Nic, we’re good friends. It gives a different dynamic, there’s no filter or holding back even when it comes scream at each other. He’s a great producer and knows how to push us beyond our limits.”

SINNER SINNERS keeps busy outside of the studio as well, boasting recent performances with Black Flag, The Sonics, The Lords of Altamont, The Morlocks, The Creepshow and many more.
