Summary:

It's a really strong album but I can't help thinking that the songs would sound better in a live setting - I can imagine this being a superb live band. It's definitely an album worth checking out if you're a fan of 80s rock.

The T Clemente band was formed by guitarist and songwriter Teddy Clemente. “Man machine” is the band’s fourth album and has a definite 80s rock sound with a bit of a 70s influence. The first thing to hit me was the excellent vocals from Amanda Dieck. As the album progressed then the guitar solos started to impress – during “Fuel my fire” for example there’s a nice fast-paced guitar solo as Teddy Clemente gets to show just what he can do on guitar. The keyboards give a nod to the Deep Purple influence, and the songs are really well written. Yes it might feel slightly dated but with so many of the greatest rock albums of all time having been released in the 80s then having an 80s rock sound is certainly not a bad thing.

It’s a really strong album but I can’t help thinking that the songs would sound better in a live setting – I can imagine this being a superb live band. It’s definitely an album worth checking out if you’re a fan of 80s rock.
