Summary:

Tequila Mockingbird - T-byrds are go EP“T-byrds are go” is the debut EP from Australian band Tequila Mockingbyrd.  The name is a nice play on the famous novel by Harper Lee (To Kill a mockingbird).  Tequila Mockingbird are a three-piece all-female band from Melbourne, and play some great rock and roll.  While bands like Airbourne or Massive have a sound that is very heavily influenced by ACDC, Tequila Mockingbird haven’t gone down that route.  Instead their music is rock with more of a punk influence.  With the catchy songs and that good-time feel this is perfect music for partying.
They’ve certainly got some of that Aussie rock attitude though (the fact that they’ve included alcohol in the band name makes that clear for a start),  with “Shut me down” sticking a middle finger up at anyone who dares to tell them not to play too loud.  They’ve released a video for “Money tree” – check it out below.

The EP is available on itunes at a ridiculously low price – just £1.29 – at that price you’ve got no excuse not to buy it.  It’s also available from the band’s website (see link at the bottom of the review).

A great debut thats well worth a listen.
