THE UNDIVIDED release ‘Safety’ album on Sept 10th

“The Undivided have a knack for writing anthemic songs as big as the mountains that overshadow their hometown of Abergavenny!” Kerrang! Magazine

The South Wales music scene seems to show no signs of slowing it’s incredible output. And Abergavenny-based quartet The Undivided are a sparkling addition to the world conquerors that precede them. Built from the same foundations as other Welsh wunderkinds such as Manic Street Preachers, Funeral For A Friend and Stereophonics, the four guys who make up The Undivided describe themselves as ‘alternate music for awkward people’. The band deal in anthemic indierock – dialling in huge grooves and a passionate delivery that all but demands you DANCE!

The soaring guitars of ‘Wasted Time’, the gentle caress of piano on ‘Safety’, the swagger of video single ’7 Hours’… it all adds up to a band that displays impressive confidence for ones so young. And throughout each intelligent lyric and hook-laden chorus, there beats a heart of pure pop magic.

Since their inception in 2009 The Undivided have gigged extensively throughout the UK, developing into a mesmerising live act, and graced stages with such luminaries as Ash and Excerts. They have also played live sessions for BBC Wales and received great reviews for their 2011 EP ‘Machines’ (recorded by Tom Manning – Feeder, The Last Republic etc).

Now in 2012, the band find themselves with high aspirations and a brand new album to carry their message far and wide. ‘Safety’ was recorded at the legendary Monnow Valley Studios with Tom Manning (Feeder, The Last Republic) once more at the helm.

The band been invited to play Merthyr Rock this year, along with bands such as Razorlight and Kids In Glass Houses, and will be headlining The Garage in London on September 29th (which will double-up as their release show!)

Having received an astounding response to first single ‘Wasted Time’, second single ’7 Hours’ will surely announce the established arrival of The Undivided to the world! With over 3,500 views already, check out the accompanying video.

“If Biffy Clyro are this decade’s most innovative hardcore-pop combo, then The Undivided are their wide eyed, sledgehammer-hook wielding younger siblings, all skyscraper choruses and savvy, bruising power-pop arrangements” Altsounds
