Brit riff-slingers ‘Driven’ serve up their enticing debut record ‘A Breakdown Of Character’ through all digital outlets on Monday 15th October 2012. Look out for tour dates, soon to be announced!
Hailing from Harrow and formed during the early part of 2011, newcomers Driven bring together a formidable sound by lifting from the progressive sorcery of Dream Theater and the unbridled power of Pantera, through to the old school riffery of Thin Lizzy. The Southern road warriors, comprised of Adam Leader (Vocals), David Mena Ferrer (Guitar), Rory Kay (Guitar), Hov Yardim (Drums), and Fazz Couri (Bass), have played shows whenever and wherever possible ever since their formation, sharing stages with the likes of Knuckledust, Painted Smiles (ex Sikth), Mortad, Daken, Skreamer, Sanguine, and Sedulus.
Driven have recently geared their focus towards recording, and this year the quintet marched into the studio to record with Phil Kinman at the helm. After a series of intense sessions, the band completed their debut record, entitled ‘A Breakdown Of Character’. The EP comes at you with all guns blazing and instantly spews out frantic drumming and hi-octane riffs to stunning effect. Ramming five songs of intensely contagious vocal lines, a stout rhythm section, and high paced Kirk Hammett-esque licks, the band have produced a blistering and admirable slice of modern metal. Now, armed with an army of fans, the stage is set for the band to kick on and to break out to the nation.
