Komatsu – Belfast, 25 November 2015

PlanetMosh backstage with Komatsu in BelfastUntil recently, if you had mentioned the name Komatsu to me, I, perhaps in common with many others, would immediately have thought of a company which manufactures some pretty heavyweight construction equipment.  When the same name cropped up as that of the main support for Mondo Generator on their current run of European dates, PlanetMosh quickly discovered that this was a pretty heavyweight combo of a different nature – a four-piece doom/groove crew from The Netherlands.

Having conducted interviews in some pretty unusual locations over the years, we found ourselves in a kitchen-come-gear store when the tour pulled into Belfast, where we took the opportunity to grab a quick chat – conducted against the backdrop of the opening act doing their damnedest to demolish the intervening wall – with the band, and find out more about them and their forthcoming new album, the wonderfully titled ‘Recipe For Murder One’.
