6 more bands for SOS Festival

SOS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 6 MORE BANDS…. SKARLETT RIOT, THE RAVEN AGE, 13 STARS, HEARTBREAK REMEDY, LIZ OWEN & CHARLOTTE HACKETT

Formed in 2010 SKARLETT RIOT have quickly earned an enviable reputation on the UK live circuit whilst their debut release has earned glorious praise from Powerplay, Kerrang, Fireworks, Big Cheese, RockSound & Metal Hammer. The band will take to the Dean Hocking Stage on Sunday & no doubt be welcomed with open arms by fans wanting a high octane dose of lively, punchy rock n roll!

THE RAVEN AGE formed in 2009, hail from London & play melodic metal. It’s worth noting that the band includes George Harris, son of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris, on guitar. They played Sonisphere in 2014 & released a debut EP which made an instant impression on the Amazon charts hitting no.1 in “Hot New Releases” & no. 16 in the “Top 100 bestsellers” in rock & metal. We’re very happy to welcome them to the Dean Hocking Stage on Saturday afternoon.

On the Metal Nation Radio Acoustic Stage we’re delighted to announce HEARTBREAK REMEDY who hail from England’s Lake District & play groove-led rock. Formed in 2013 they’re pretty new on the scene but are quickly earning themselves new followers & admirers with some great live performances, not least at this years’ Rockmantic event in Carlisle. The band heads up our acoustic stage on Friday night.
Also added to the Metal Nation Radio Acoustic Stage are 13 STARS who are currently winning instant acclaim with some stellar shows featuring their classic rock, infused with Lynyrd Skynyrd style & influences. They play Saturday afternoon whilst a singer-songwriter theme is added to Sunday with the addition of the gifted LIZ OWEN & CHARLOTTE HACKETT.

SOS is presented by independent record label Rocksector Records & 2015 will be the 8th such event. Previous headliners include I AM I, GUN, Black Spiders, Heavens Basement, Absolva and Beholder.

In 2015, the event takes place on 17th – 19th July, and tickets which are already on-sale, represent outstanding value once again at £15 for a weekend, £10 for Saturday or Sunday single day tickets. Friday night is charged separately at £5 or for weekend ticket purchasers it’s included in the price.

Our special thanks go to our partners Powerplay, Get Your Rock Out and Metal Nation Radio for their valued support, & also to Factory Music Management & Agency, Raz White Entertainment & Hydra Pro Bookings for their kind assistance.
