Scar City are set to play the New Blood Stage at this years Bloodstock festival on Sunday the 11th August.
We catch up with the band to find out more about them, the festival, their thoughts and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s will see!
Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band.
We are a 5 piece heavy rock metal band from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. We have been together since 2009.

How would you describe your sound.
We would say we are a mixture of everything really we have hooks big choruses and big beat downs. I guess you would have to check us out to see what we mean
Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?
Bloodstock is such an awesome festival we have always wanted to be part of it to show bloodstock fans what we can do and is the only festival that supports unsigned bands/musicians
What was your initial reaction when you found out you where playing on the New Blood Stage?
Complete disbelief, bloodstock is such a huge festival and to be told you are playing you cant really put into words how it feels, hasn’t actually sunk in yet
What can the audience expect from you at the festival.
High energy show big hooks, big choruses, big beat downs if you looking to have a good time we are the band for you.
What has been the bands biggest achievement so far?
Being told we are playing bloodstock on Sunday the 11th August
Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it.
We are all bloodstock virgins in the band so be gentle with us!
What is your opinion of the Bloodstock line-up.
Awesome line up and on all the different stages
What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock.
Playing. Also looking forward to watching the other guys on the new bloodstage watching slayer anthrax, sacred mother tongue, And just generally taking in the festival atmosphere
