Swiss melodic death metal band ARCTURON announced their new EP “Expect Us”. This announcement is now followed by the opus’ artwork, for which the band has also broken new ground.
The band about the cover: “We felt like doing something new, something that felt natural to us and promised to be fun. We have always tried to create a Hollywood-feel in our pictures, to be more than a metal band for our fans. We don’t want to limit our creativity to the music. We knew from the start that Joel Cartier was the right choice for the job, and he immediately caught fire”
Fashion and advertising photographer Joel Cartier is well known for his work for BMW, Nivea or Jean-Paul Gaultier. Composing the artwork for ARCTURON he left for uncharted waters. When the band confronted him with the idea for the title shot, it didn’t take long to decide on all the details.
Cartier himself about the project: “The guys are fantastic, straightforward and creative. Work on the set was very easy and fun. The result is great, as expected, especially for action fans.”
“Expect Us” will be released on 24.10.2014 through Supreme Chaos Records, celebrated in a releaseshow on 25. 10. 2014 in Pratteln (CH) with Darkane (S).
