Formed in Tamworth, Staffordshire in 2013. Heavy Metal band Hidden released their debut EP True Mercian Metal last year. Containing a short intro track False Ones Must Die and three tracks packed with the classic NWOBHM sound of bands like Saxon and Judas Priest. Lots of screaming guitars and vocals to match! Clash of Steel the mellowist and most melodic track. Timeless Death with it’s chugging riffs and high pitched squeals is like a cross between October 31 and CSOD. The self titled Hidden was my favourite track think October 31 meets Judas Priest meets Raven, I’m thinking The Warlock, takes a Painkiller and sends Lambs to The Slaughter!
It appears they (or at least Ade The Blade) may also have other ‘Hidden’ talents as according to their Facebook page they have won the following awards!
Truest band of 2014
Truest band of 2015
Hottest drummer of 2014
Now it’s fair to say that my hottest drummer vote could only go to Hessu Maxx from Reckless Love – not saying Ade the Blade isn’t Hot – just saying I never voted for him! ;)
A sound first offering, which should appeal to fans of October 31, Raven, Saxon and Judas Priest and they have several gigs already lined up this year including taking part in Bloodstock’s Metal 2 The Masses so we’ll no doubt be seeing more of what they have Hidden!
