Skunk Anansie to rock INmusic Festival
– Wider line-up includes headliners Florence + the Machine and PJ Harvey
2nd February 2016 :- British rock band Skunk Anansie are the latest name to join the 11th edition of INmusic Festival. They follow the recent addition of US alt-rockers Wilco to the line-up, which also features headlining Brits Florence + The Machine and PJ Harvey.
Widely known for hit singles ‘Weak’ and ‘Hedonism’, Skunk Anansie have sold over five million records, including a number of platinum albums, and completed seven sell-out world tours (up until 2000). One of Europe’s biggest rock bands in the ’90s, Skunk Anansie also featured in the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums in 2004 as one of the most successful UK chart acts of the last 50 years. They released their sixth studio album Anarchytecture last month and are currently heading out across Europe on a largely sold out tour.
The wider INmusic line-up includes The Kooks, Yeasayer, The Heavy, Pat Thomas and Kwashibu Area Band, and Monoswezi, with a further headliner still to be announced.
Dea Čičković of INmusic festival said: “We’re really excited to have Skunk Anansie joining us at INmusic. There’s such a great calibre of artist on the line-up this year – I don’t think there’s anywhere else that you can see such names at this price. And we’ve still got more to come!“
This year’s festival will be held from June 20th to 22nd 2016 across three islands on Lake Juran (Zagreb). INmusic is Croatia’s biggest open-air music festival, costing just £30 for a three-day ticket.
