Mike Campese is a New York born guitarist that started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. He was exposed to a variety of music thanks to his father who is a virtuoso violinist. With influences like Black Sabbath, Jimmy Hendrix, Al Di Meola and Van Halen, Mike became obsessed with the guitar. He attended lessons with a Jazz guitarist and refined his technical skill through listening to Niccolo Paganini, Beethoven, Mozart and Yngwie amongst others.
Being a very versatile guitarist, he has played with an African band, Pop groups and Jazz bands. His core style however revolves around Rock fusion. Mike appeared on the Jason Becker tribute Cd “Warmth In The Wilderness” which was an international release and has performed with many international acts such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker, The B-52′s, Lou Reed, The members of YES and Asia, KC and the Sunshine band, Spin Doctors, Sebastian Bach, Dokken, Kip Winger, Rik Emmett Of Triumph, Vinnie Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Jon Oliva, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and many more.
Into The LimeLight Records will re-release some of Mike’s previous albums together with a “best of”. Mike is also working on a brand new album to be released spring 2017 on the LimeLight Records label.
