Morass Of Molasses Unveil Third Annual Sludgefest in Reading

Back in June 2014 Reading based Stoner/Doom band Morass Of Molasses put on the first event that would be named ‘Sludgefest’. It was an experiment to see if there really was an audience for this style of music in their local scene. Needless to say it was a resounding success, and as a result birthed a regular band night called ‘The Swamp’. This show, which runs every first Friday of the month at The Facebar, aims to bring the very best Stoner/Sludge/Doom acts from all over the UK right into the heart of Reading.

This year Sludgefest will be a two day event, with 6 bands each night, starting at 7pm, and going on until late. Day tickets are £7 and Weekend passes £10. Money off flyers are available from bands and the venue, which will save you £1 off the door price.

Frontman Bones of Morass Of Molasses had this to say about the event: ‘This is easily the biggest thing we have ever organised in Reading, and we are so energised and excited to bring this many great bands into our home town. Most of them we met on tour and have become our very close friends’
