London trio Cortes have unveiled the video for their second track ‘Towers’, out now via Ignition 45s. The track is the follow up track to their critically acclaimed and BBC Radio 1 playlisted debut ‘Close To Nowhere’ which dropped in May 2016 and saw the band storm their way to Devon as part of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Festival.
The track marks the band’s first release with independent record label Ignition 45s through Ignition Records, the label that kick started the careers of many up and coming bands including Darlia, Pretty Vicious and Baby Strange, whilst the main Ignition label has released records from Primal Scream, Stereophonics and The Coral, amongst others.
Written and recorded by the band and Larry Hibbitt at RAK Studios in London, the track features a groove laden bass line and the unmistakable vocals of Andy Cortes, who says of the track; “Towers shows a softer, more sensitive side to Cortes whilst retaining some of the rawness of Close To Nowhere”
Catch them live at London’s Tooting Tram & Social on Friday, September 2nd.
