Classed as an E.P but you get a whopping seven tracks on Memento Mori from Heartbreak Remedy! Available now from all major streaming sites it impresses on all levels. Now trimmed down to a trio opening track ‘Octane’ bursts in on a bluster of riffing from Luke Blair, snappy snare work from Stephen Jackson and a mighty roared lead vocal from Matty Penn raising the bar high from the off.

‘Back To You’ is more melodic with the guitar lines and vocals bringing to mind On Through The Night era Def Leppard. A laid back vocal creates a soothing vibe during ‘Tequila Butterfly’ as huge riffs ease back midway for a blistering lead guitar solo. To borrow a song title from QOTSA, the breezy ‘Baby Blue’ could be the feel good hit of the summer. ‘Mama Ju’ is a slice of gritty sleaze as ‘Luci’ dazzles by being a catchy headbanger containing a killer chorus but my personal favourite is the delicate acoustic balladry of closing number ‘Country Boy’.
