THE TOSSERS RELEASE TWO HOLIDAY TRACKS
“Merry Christmas” and “Auld Lang Syne”
Famed for their gutsy and resolute blue-collared anthems, THE TOSSERS are stepping in a different direction by releasing two songs for the holiday season – an original, ‘Merry Christmas,’ and the traditional New Year’s poem ‘Auld Lang Syne,’ penned by Robert Burns in 1788.
Guitarist Mike Pawula explains, “’Merry Christmas’ is a song that Tony (Duggins, mandolinist and lead vocalist) wrote a few years ago that he had been kicking around and we planned to put it on tape. Once we did, it felt like we should record a companion song, so naturally the classic ‘Auld Lang Syne’ seemed like the perfect fit. We have never done anything for the Seasons like this and hope people enjoy it.” Duggins adds, “God Bless you all, and may each and every one of you have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year.”

Earlier this year, “The world’s loudest drinking band” premiered “Smash The Windows,” a Nitro Milk Stout via Revolution Brewery, a tribute to their 2017 album of the same name. Smash The Windows is an anthemic and rollicking, rowdy journey through Irish American culture coupled with melancholy overtures inspired by devotion and pride. It is truly a piece of work that fits America’s current socio-economic state of affairs and will strike a chord with many lovers of genres ranging from country, punk, rock and traditional Irish folk.
THE TOSSERS will announce their first tour dates of 2019 shortly.
“Merry Christmas” and “Auld Lang Syne” can be purchased here.
