‘Wagons roll as the best of new British Rock bites back at Call Of The Wild Festival’
Lincolnshire Showground will once again be the place where the thunderous sound of Rock music marries itself perfectly with the idyllic setting of the Countryside area of this premier venue.
Organisers are delighted to now announce that the most prolific British rock band of this decade, MASSIVE WAGONS will headline the Kilmister Stage on Friday 29th May 2020.
Most recently seen out on an arena tour with Lynyrd Skynryd & Status Quo, the five piece have had a meteoric rise since signing to Earache Records. Selling out their own headline shows all across the UK, topping the Friday bill at Steelhouse Festival, tours with Thunder, The Wildhearts & festivals throughout the UK & Europe. The demand for Massive Wagons is high & we feel incredibly honoured to be able to bring the band to Call Of The Wild Festival.
“We’ve known the organisers of Call Of The Wild for a few years now, and that was one of the big reasons we agreed to do it, we knew what we would be getting in terms of organisation and a quality event, year one just proved that, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the entire weekend, it’s a bold move starting up any kind of festival, but these guys are on the ball and we can’t wait to come and play it, Thank you for having us.” – Baz Mills (Vocals/Massive Wagons)
With an undeniable massive slice of British Rock added to the bill, organisers are very pleased to confirm that French rockers BLACKRAIN will fly the EU flag & make their return to the UK – for the first time in three years!
Also hitting some pretty massive stages while playing stadiums with the Stereophonics, FIREROAD are indeed well suited for such venues with their radio-friendly stadium rock sound. When it comes to leaving it all on the stage when performing live, FLORENCE BLACK stand head & shoulders above all. The trio have a reputation as having one of the most intense & energetic shows, and that reputation will one day be carved in stone!
JANUS STARK are back! An experimental punk rock band from Peterborough, formed in 2000, their album, Great Adventure Cigar, was highly rated by Foo Fighters and Die Toten Hosen and was a fusion of Punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal and alternative with influences from Helmet to The Ruts to The Beatles to The Clash. Fronted by The Prodigy live guitarist Gizz Butt. The band split in 2002 but reformed in 2018 and are set to release a new album.
Having taken Europe by storm on a 20 date tour with pirate metallers Alestorm, and ambushed the UK with rockers Massive Wagons, BOOTYARD BANDITS have already started turning heads with a rock ‘n’ roll show like no other… Can we get a yee-haw!? The band’s first single “Hoedown Showdown” has racked up over 50k plays in only a short few weeks on Spotify and is currently being aired on Planet Rock Radio. The debut track is accompanied by a hilariously gruesome LEGO stop-motion video which has instantly won the band a stack of fans and has been described by Wyatt Wendels (Planet Rock Radio) as “One of the best videos I’ve seen in a loooong time”. Saddle up folks! It’s Call of the Wild West!
UK favourites; RYDERS CREED, SKAM & REVIVAL BLACK bring the finest Classic Rock, while EMPYRE, THE ROCKET DOLLS, DIG LAZARUS weigh in with some edgier alternative vibes. TAKEAWAY THIEVES will unload the kick ass rock n roll with all the swagger of The Quireboys.
For those that like their Metal HEAVY, THE HERECTIC ORDER & TORQUED should satisfy completely!
