Great Death Metal, Napalm style.

One man Manchester mutha Smogg returns with the first part of a double header entitled ‘Entertaining Evil ‘, and it’s brutal.

As soon as opener ‘Sulphur-Exhaled ‘ begins you’re battered with speed, ferocious drumming and Pantera style riffage. It’s relentless. It’s unforgiving, and ‘Damned In Exile ‘ holds no mercy either. This is a slower affair in places, but watch out for the early Napalm Death speed riffs in sections. Love the guitar sound.

Exhumed ‘ gets heads nodding instantly with it’s chugging beat and evil lyrics. Pace-wise it ambles along nicely with some beautiful guitar runs.

Mad Lad ‘ ups the pace. The guitar work throughout this album has so much imagination and creativity within it, and ‘Mad Lad ‘ has some of the best guitar work on the album, it really does.

Ultivillain ‘ closes Part 1 in great style, and if I had to describe this music in one sentence I would have to say….. ‘Imagine early Napalm Death and Pantera with the creativity of today ‘. Lovely.
