A funny thing happened when I started to write this review. I thought I’d be talking about the two Davids who made up the powerhouse of Megadeth. I had ready a gag about Ellefson being the straight man to Mustaine’s comic genius ready to go.
Then I started listening to the album and all that went out the window. Who’s the guy with the gruff voice? 10 minutes on Wiki later and I’m up to speed on Mr E’s other partner. Thom Hazaert is an American musician, author/journalist, music executive and radio personality, to quote the previously mentioned source of all knowledge.

He is more importantly David’s business partner in various projects, including film production, band management and even a radio show.

So what’s the album like. 13 cover songs from the era of classic Heavy Metal. Performed adequately well although I didn’t hear one better than the original. With twenty or so guest guitarists which, to be honest’ I couldn’t hear the difference between. Results with what I can only say is a pointless album.

If like me you were a big Megadeth fan this brings nothing. If you are into classic Metal again why would you care?

I should imagine everyone involved had a great time and I wish I’d been invited to the party. However someone should have looked at this in the light of the day and realised it should have remained nothing more than the memory of a great night.
