Exciting modern metallers VOIDEMOLITION continue their climb with the release of their new video, Sceptre of Grief, out now – https://youtu.be/JByiULud7KY .
Coming at you from Remscheid, Germany, hard-hitters VOIDEMOLITION take in a slew of influences ranging from Bury Tomorrow, As I Lay Dying, and Avenged Sevenfold through to Jinjer, Trivium, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine and more. With this comprehensive diversity of tastes, VOIDEMOLITION have nurtured a distinctive and striking signature sound that unleashes powerful riffs that are progressive and deeply alluring, tuneful and guttural vocals that skillfully draw in the listener, and grit and captivation in equal parts.
The soaring alt-metallers started life in 2015 with original founding members, drummer Dominik Wietrzykowski and lead vocalist, David Dannenberg. The band’s early years were hindered by changes in personnel, however the industrious metal crew persevered, releasing their official debut EP, Arise, which undoubtedly mapped out VOIDEMOLITION’s philosophy. With an established line-up also including Richard Hetze (bass, backing vocals), Björn Dröse (rhythm guitar), and Timo Gerhardt (lead guitar & backing vocals), the metal crew continued their charge with the hugely successful release of last year’s debut album, Sanity. Consecutive live shows and the support of the German media has assisted with the band’s surging rise.
Now, VOIDEMOLITION are ripe to kick on again with the release of a brand-new video for the track, Sceptre of Grief. The band comment about the song: “Sceptre of Grief is the last bonus track off of our album Sanity. It covers the topic of PTSD; a very difficult topic. The song’s fundament was created by Timo, who wrote the first half in one go. He then sat down with Björn to finish the instrumental version. The vibe the instruments give off helped Dave to write the lyrics. It’s heavy hitting, fierce, and loaded with frustration; this song is a neck breaker!”
A new record is already in initial stages, and with further live shows set to be announced for the remainder of the year, there is nothing stopping VOIDEMOLITION’s continued ascension.
