Troy Redfern-Getaway-Single Review-Planetmosh

Welcome back to the lonesome cowboy on the trail, Troy Redfern, with his latest single ‘Getaway’, not to be confused with Troy Tempest from 60’s TV programme Stingray, although he does whip up a storm for four fiery minutes of hurricane damaging ferocity.

Beginning with a guitar tone so dirty and greasy, you’ll need to shower after the first note is unleashed. His riffs are all rock and roll raunch, but not overbearing to drown out the melodies. The midsection is slide guitar heaven and his backing band are no slouches as they lock in armed and ready for prominent bass guitar bombast and a snare driven, snap, crackle and boom!

‘Getaway’ is the second single released from an upcoming studio album in 2024, ‘Invocation’,a Kickstarter campaign starts on October 30th 2023 with coloured vinyl, hand – drawn artworks and an array of exclusive bundles, are just a few of the things on offer to backers of the new album.

Troy will be supporting Philip Sayce for six dates in November 2023.
