August 9th 2024 cannot arrive soon enough as blues sensation Elles Bailey releases her Beneath The Neon Glow album via Cooking Vinyl Records, and has just released ‘Leave The Light On’, second single taken from it, and another bonus is a 16 date UK Autumn headlining tour!
To my ears this is one of her heavier songs musically and emotionally for three sassy and classy minutes of rock raunch as well as being a funky toe tapper that bursts into life midway from a fretboard burning guitar solo.

Elles describes the song as “You have to be a certain, selfless type of person who supports another to realise their dreams and that’s exactly the type of person I married. So this is my autobiographical open and honest love letter to my husband. The track is inspired by the time I missed my last train from London and ended up coming back really late at night, feeling exceptionally guilty as I had been away so much, but as I arrived home outside our house, the light has been left on and this small gesture felt so welcoming and supportive, and the next day this song was penned.
