Summary:

Scarlet Rebels put the needle in the red for their overwhelmingly new, recently released studio album, Where The Colours Meet via Earache Records.

Welcome back to Swansea, South Wales rockers Scarlet Rebels, as they have just released and unleashed their new studio album Where The Colours Meet, via Earache Records on August 16th 2024 and on the same day, celebrated its release by playing it in the intimate setting at the Bunkhouse in Swansea, and here are my favourite songs from it.

Secret Drug – Riffs here are aural weapons of speaker rattling prowess, with an added assault from a lungbusting lead vocal from Wayne Doyle.

Grace – This track was voted Classic Rock track of the week and definitely deserves it due to its anthemic strut with head held high, ploughing through your speaker system with ease.

Out Of Time – It features a lead vocal from the multi award winning blues artist Elles Bailey for this beautiful ballad that could melt the coldest heart as she croons for four minutes of ear melting soul, backed by sparse piano, sweeping orchestral strings, a steady drum beat, crushing midway powerchords and a superfluous outro guitar solo.

How Much Is Enough – A Godzilla stomped intro riff hits hard and heavy, muscling up even more headbanging heaven to make it the heaviest song on the album musically and lyrically as Wayne ups the ante up with a pleading, powerhouse vocal delivery.

It Was Beautiful – A frail song with an intro that could fall apart at any second, gains a new lease of life to turn into a raucous rocker, but the spotlight is stolen by overwhelming choruses and a histrionic outro guitar solo.

My House, My Rules – It’s co.written with Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, The Almighty). Knockout punch blows are fired out by a put up or shut up warning. It’s a surefire romper stomper to keep the headbangers happy, especially when a wah-wah guitar solo flies in.

Wayne Doyle adds,”We’re absolutely delighted that the next chapter in the Scarlet Rebels story is out now. The four singles that have been released have had an overwhelmingly positive response, and now we can present the whole picture of Where The Colours Meet. We’re super excited to see what people think”.
