Summary:

Fahran raise the fahrenheit temperature heat levels with 'Sever The Ties', third single taken from their recently released studio album 'The Hope That Killed Me.

As the old saying goes, “You can’t keep a good band down”, point proven by Fahran, formed in Derbyshire, 2006. The five piece rock, metal, alternative band have now gone for a harder edge, shown by ‘Sever The Ties’, third single unleashed from their new studio album, The Hope That Killed Me, available now on all platforms. Their five year hiatus sees them back, kicking and screaming all the closed doors in their way.

To my ears, ‘Sever The Ties’ is the heaviest song of the three singles. It opens on a simmering loop, heading off on scything guitar riffing, bass bombast and a behemoth strength drum battery. A gruelling grind adds venom to the caustic vocal rant from Matt Black, so check out the accompanying lyric video as the song closes on a sedate whisper. Job done!
