Wolverhampton, Black Country based hard rockers Tender Vendetta seem far from tender as they bash out their recently released four track debut Redux EP.
Opening track ‘Redux’ is a hairy headbanger to give those neck muscles a workout, taking me back to those early Motorhead albums when they were unstoppable and Tender Vendetta have captured that vibe, losing none of the power, capturing the vibe effortlessly throughout this party starting and the last ones to leave out of the door major rager.
‘Kamikaze Love’ see that Tender Vendetta are another band to receive my “Riff after riff, after motherfu**ing riff award”, as they crash but don’t burn. Riffs will leave your ears red raw, but still want more mayhem to fire up this speaker rattling tirade, and a broken glass chewed lead vocal.
‘I’ll Do Me’ is a mean and moody grinder that creeps up on you via this brain melter, bringing to mind the Facelift era of Alice In Chains which is no bad thing, all kept in line by sturdy bass lines and a venue shaking drum battery.
The EP unfortunately ends to soon as ‘Pretty Dangerous’ has a caustic lead vocal delivered with a f**k you sneer, proving that punks not dead in the Tender Vendetta camp, ending the EP with a totally unhinged full on freak out!
Following the EP release, 8-9 singles will be dropped every 6-8 weeks, leading towards their upcoming first full – length studio album.
