Birmingham UK based noisemongers Vanitas release ‘Wait And See’, on November 15th 2024, their last single from a very impressive 2024. This will be my tenth review for them and it’s always a pleasure as their material goes from strength to strength, with their cinematic djent styles, veering off in many directions. They pronounced earlier this year that “Vanitas return matured and dangerous, promising to deliver their heaviest release yet”. Said release was their musclebound ‘Chaos Theory EP’.
Vanitas proclaim that “Wait And See is an epic anthem, exploring the duality of excitement and anxiety of trusting an unknown future, out now.”
All it needed for my was one play and I nailed it, such was its power to overcome. It would take a miracle for them not to unleash new music without it being a caustic balls to the wall rampage of inhuman, gutteral vocals, multiple time changes that make the wonder where all this cacophony is coming from.
If you like your death metal deathly, then look no further and fully immerse to Vanitas’ world of hate, destroying anything or anyone that is foolish to stand in their way. Look out 2025!
