‘Content Provider’ prove that if you look hard enough, a new band will come your way, point proven by this alt-rock trio from Nottingham. Their latest single ‘Moon’s Gravity’ is a real smorgasbord of ideas. They proclaim that their combination of insane funk basslines, post-punk guitars, pounding drums, abstract lyricism and infectious hooks make them stand out from the crowd, both live and on their recordings.
They back up these claims courtesy of their new single.
An ethereal vocal intro around a sparse bass line muscles up with drum bombast and a riff that eerily brought to mind ‘Panama’. It then morphs into a major rager of off the wall, jazz like nuances that flew around my headphones, turning around midway on its axis when a tougher vocal adds to the songs symmetry, along with jarring guitar insanity and a full blown outro. Job done! A very impressive piece.
