Agincourt, Hard Rock Hell festival, Prestatyn, 3/12/2011

Midlands based band Agincourt had their work cut out on the nwobhm stage, having to follow 2 awesome sets from Stampede and Bronz but they rose to the challenge by giving us 8 tracks from their excellent debut album ‘Angels Of Mons‘.

Even a few technical difficulties arising from Paul Anderson’s guitar could not halt their delivery. Their 40 mins allotted stage time seemed to fly by. They have a classic nwobhm sound with the distinctive vocals from Richard E Toy cutting through, sounding like a young Ozzy Osbourne at times,as well as adding some fine guitar work.

Kicking off with their swansong ‘Agincourt’ and finishing with ‘Queen Of  The Night‘, Agincourt gave any discerning rock/metal fan a memorable 40mins.

Agincourt formed in 1991, split in 1997 and reformed in 2008. Their debut album ‘Angels Of Mons’ was released earlier this year via Agincourt Music and are currently working on a follow up. Following their HRH V appearance they will be supporting Elixir in London at the Camden Purple Turtle on Dec. 10th.
