On the BBC1 Sunday Rock show this morning Bloodstock Festival announced their first seven acts, including the the first headline.
Amon Amarth top the bill on the Friday supported by Blind Guardian. Other bands appearing over the weekend on the Ronnie James Dio Stage will be Testament, Hatebreed, HELL, Possessed and Whitechapel.
Amon Amarth last appeared at Bloodstock Festival in 2014 playing a headline-worthy set, and have been one of the most requested acts to take the top slot ever since. Amon Amarth are currently on tour playing their viking infused metal show to fans all over Europe, and only yesterday completed the hugely successful UK leg to a near sell out crowd in Birmingham. 2016 has been a massive year for them with a new album, Jomsviking, and an invasion of America with a tour supporting Megadeth.
Bloodstock takes place from 10th – 13th August next year at Catton Park in Derbyshire. Early Bird tickets are on sale now, for details and more information visit http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/. Planetmosh will see you there!
