Amulet are set to play the New Blood Stage at this years Bloodstock festival on Sunday the 11th August.
We catch up with the band to find out more about them, the festival, their thoughts and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s will see!
Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band.
A band from London formed in 2010. We have heavy metal in our blood and we’d like to give to you if we could.
How would you describe your sound.
We’re inspired by anything rocking from the golden era of heavy rock and metal but we have our own thing going on that works for us. It naturally sounds a bit after Sabbath and before Metallica.
Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?
Bloodstock is a good festival to play to reach a lot of decent UK metalheadz. It certainly wasn’t for the ‘money’, but you’d be mad not to want to play to that crowd.
What was your initial reaction when you found out you where playing on the New Blood Stage?
Happiness? Probably checking out the Bloodstock forum.
What can the audience expect from you at the festival.
Good songs, tasty riffs, catchy vocals, a listenable guitar sound and maybe The Hangman prowling our graveyard.
What has been the bands biggest achievement so far?
Maybe playing a great show at Muskelrock Festival in Sweden, but the best is yet to come.
Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it.
Yeah, it’s a pretty nice site and a fun atmosphere. It good that people want to have a good time and sometimes make their own entertainment.
What is your opinion of the Bloodstock line-up.
Not bad overall. Not quite to our tastes but enough to keep us interested.
What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock.
Apart from taking the stage at 6.45pm on Sunday? Well, King Diamond will blow some minds and sort the men from the boys!
Can you sum up Bloodstock in one sentence!
An outdoor heavy metal festival based in Derbyshire.
Any message you wish to pass on to the PM readers
“We’ve got, we’ve got all the power we need. Let’s build a playground on this old battlefield!”
Thank you for taking the time out to complete this interview, we are looking forward to seeing you at Bloodstock \m/ \m/
