.@DownloadFest confirms another 9 acts.
Festival season is fast approaching, but it hasn’t stopped Download revealing another nine additions to their already impressive lineup.
Heading up the confirmations is none other than Richie Sambora. His CV speaks for itself – collaborators include Cher, LL Cool J and guitar god Eric Clapton, live shows to more than 34 million people over almost fifty years and now he will bring this phenomenal experience and talent to Download for the first time ever. As an added bonus, he will also be starring alongside Orianthi, one of the leading figures in the world of female guitarists and who was to be Michael Jackson’s main shredder at the late singer’s planned run of shows at the O2 Arena.
Turbowolf are also back for the first time since 2012, with Birmingham post-hardcore group Cytota and local debutants Drenge and Baby Godzilla also confirmed.
Rounding off today’s inclusions are The Temperance Movement, progressive metallers Nothing More, hardcore colts Dead City Streets and London art rockers Goldray.
