It’s always nice to have new names for a festival, isn’t it? Luckily, Download have delivered and given us a smile to kick away the Monday blues with another twelve names on the bill.
The new addition are as follows: the recently reformed Juliette and the Licks, British metal powerhouse and fourth stage headliners Raging Speedhorn, punk-tinged rock’n’rollers The Amorettes, supergroup Wearing Scars, The Wild Lies, Nu-metal giants From Ashes to New, feel-good folk band Skinny Lister, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing, classic rock masters Inglorious, RavenEye, fusion metallers In Search of Sun and grunge trio Puppy. In addition to this, we reported a short while ago that Slaves (US) would not be performing owing to the band’s breakup. However, frontman Johnny Craig has announced that they will continue and fulfill all of the remaining dates, so they are still scheduled for the fourth stage on Saturday evening.
Download Festival takes place from 10th-12th June and will feature headline performances from Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, with a whole host of other names taking part. For tickets and further info, visit www.downloadfestival.co.uk.
