Northern Ireland’s hardest rockin’ quartet, The Answer, have revealed the title of their forthcoming sixth studio album, due to be released this Autumn.
“We’re excited to announce that we’ve got this brand new record which we’ve been working on for the last six months and it’s just about ready to go,” enthused frontman Cormac Neeson.
“It’s called ‘Solas’, which is the Gaelic word for “light” and also the title of the lead track on the album,” he went on to reveal.
“All I will say about this record is that it’s a journey and one we’ve never really taken before so prepare yourselves for a few surprises. But don’t worry they are ridiculously good surprises… well, I think so anyway.
“Oh and we’ll be giving you a few tasters of what’s to come when we take to the stage this summer!”
‘Solas’ is scheduled to be released on 14 October via Napalm Records. The album has been produced by Andy Bradfield and Avril Macintosh, who previously worked with The Answer on their debut, ‘Rise’, which is being re-released on 17 June to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
The Answer play Limelight 1, Belfast, tomorrow (Friday 3 June). Tickets are still available.
They also play the Steelhouse Festival in Ebbw Vale on Saturday 23 July and the Ramblin’ Man Fair in Maidstone on Sunday 24 July.
