Blackburn based alternative rockers Bastette impress highly with this reviewer once again with the release of their latest single ‘Psycho’ via Rock People Management. It’s taken from a forthcoming EP titled ‘Awakening’ on September 30th 2022 and judging by the quality of the songwriting, it’ll be an essential purchase!
A three guitar attack adds power to an already menacing song that highlights coming out of a toxic relationship from a manipulative partner, making her think that she was the one that was crazy. Lead vocals from the haunting croon of Caroline Eve Kenyon are captivating, point proven by the choruses of “I’m out of my mind, I’m done chasing my time. Don’t pretend to try and save me, when you’re the one that made me lose my mind. I’m claiming psycho as mine!”
