Batman: Arkham City Soundtrack cd

This companion soundtrack to the latest Batman Video game has been well thought out, featuring such bands as Panic at the Disco, Coheed and Cambria, The Duke Spirit, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Blaqk Audio, Raveonettes, to name a few.
This is not the score to the game (which is also rumored to be excellent, I haven’t heard it yet, despite the game being available), but the specially crafted “rock” soundtrack, an “add on” if you like, which sits along side the game, but untimely has to stand on its own. Through the depth and diversity of the chosen artists, from the pop infused sounds of Panic at the disco, to the dark and moody Coheed and canbria, this isn’t an album to be taken lightly.
It is deliciously dark and moody in places, everything a Batman soundtrack should be, i don’t think everyone is going to like this because musical tastes are subjective, but as a whole, it works.
This soundtrack is also 100% original, meaning that every song is a new one written exclusively for this cd.
The first song, “Mercenary” by “Panic at the Disco”, is definitely the best of the bunch for me, closely followed by “Coheed and Cambria – Deranged”, there are a couple of weak tracks on here “Daughtry – Drown In You” springs to mind, but im not going to mark it down because of that, like I said before, this is a compilation cd, with a purpose in mind, and music is very subjective, so what doesn’t work for me, will work for somebody else.
This soundtrack should be blasting out on Gothem FM
