Black Paisley, Swedish rockers new album Perennials out now

Founded in Stockholm, Sweden 2014, singer and songwriter Stefan Blomqvist put together some of Sweden’s finest studio and touring musicians to form Black Paisley. The band is named after the famous Fender signature model of Ritchie Sambora in Bon Jovi.

In 2015 the first songs were released and the full debut album, Late Bloomer came in 2017.

The debut was very well received by critics and bloggers (See list enclosed) and also ended up on Spotify’s editorial playlist.

For the follow-up, Paisley has sadly lost their producer Mats Lindfors and have a new team consisting of Per Andersson (JohnOssi) and Niklas Flyckt (Britney Spears, Candlemass, Kent et al) for engineering and production in collaboration with Ulf Hedin and Robert Wirensjö in the band.

The band comments on the new album:

“Perennials” continues the journey of the debut album, “Late Bloomer”. We wanted to get some more uptempo songs in the set this time, but overall the album is quite versatile in terms of style. For this record, we had more of a play-and-build model which most bands use nowadays. Stefan still writes all the songs and then the band works together on arrangements and instrumentals.”
