Things are hotting up at BLOODSTOCK HQ as even more bands are unveiled for 2014!!
Joining the main stage bill are the newly renamed, ENTOMBED A.D. After having to change their name from just ‘Entombed’, LG Petrov and his fellow band members are once again ready to let the music do the talking after a year of internal struggles. They release the highly anticipated new album ‘Back to the Front’ on 4th August via Century Media and are eager to get back on the road. BLOODSTOCK is THE place to see the refreshed band in the UK this summer! Frontman, LG Petrov proclaims: “England! Long time no see!! And what better way is there than to come to play at Bloodstock Festival in August! We are looking forward to meeting all you headbangers again!”
Getting the heads banging on the Sophie stage on Thursday are British trad metalheads MONUMENT, and bringing their own brand of theatrical madness and extreme metal are former ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ winners, GETHIKA. Bringing an international flavour on Sunday are death/thrash metallers KROW, who hail all the way from Brazil. Fancy something a little different? Then check out 16-yr old blues star in the making AARON KEYLOCK, also performing on Sunday’s Sophie stage.
Not content with that, BLOODSTOCK can also reveal six killer bands for the Jagermeister stage! Grab a couple Jagerbombs and come headbang to UNDERSMILE and KING CREATURE on Friday, plus MASSIVE WAGONS and a special acoustic set from ORPHANED LAND on Saturday. If you’re still standing come Sunday, be sure to catch RABID BITCH OF THE NORTH and THE HERETIC ORDER.
BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL are also excited to announce the next batch of breaking bands for the Hobgoblin-sponsored New Blood stage. Supporting new bands is at the heart of.BLOODSTOCK’s ethos and the New Blood stage gives them the platform to showcase grass-roots acts. You don’t necessarily need a big record deal to have a shot at playing the fest. Some acts are picked from CD submissions and some via the much lauded ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ tour which rolls through local clubs and venues throughout May and June. This year’s tour is the biggest to date and the best bands are chosen from each event to land a spot at Bloodstock.
Impressing the powers that be with their CD submissions, the New Blood stage welcomes NO SIN EVADES HIS GAZE on Friday, BORN OF THE JACKAL on Saturday, and TODAY THE SUN DIES (let’s hope it doesn’t!) on Sunday. The ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ Plymouth heat winner WARCRAB join the bill on Saturday, and Sunday’s New Blood stage welcome the Channel Islands’ victor, BYZANTHIAN NECKBEARD and the Dublin’s heat champions, PSYKOSIS.

BLOODSTOCK 2014 is set to be the biggest and best yet! Friday night’s headliners are New Orleans sludgemeisters, DOWN, joining them to head up Saturday are re-united black metal overlords, EMPEROR and closing out proceedings on Sunday are mighty thrash legends, MEGADETH. Also appearing are AMON AMARTH, DIMMU BORGIR, HATEBREED, OBITUARY, CROWBAR, LACUNA COIL, CARCASS, PRONG, CHILDREN OF BODOM, SAXON, FLOTSAM & JETSAM, EVIL SCARECROW, GRAVEYARD and many more. Yet more bands and other cool onsite things will be announced in the coming weeks.
