BLOODSTOCK announces even more bands for 2014, plus win tickets!

BLOODSTOCK 2014 The award winning BLOODSTOCK is just 7 weeks away and they’re still announcing bands for the Catton Park event.  Even more are still to come, plus a wealth of other on site entertainment is still to be announced!

Two more additions for the Sophie Stage are ex-Akercocke members, VOICES, who will bring their self-proclaimed ‘whirlwind of psychedelic melancholia and psychotic blast’ to the masses on Sunday.  Check out their eerie new album trailer here:

Also joining the Sophie bill are power metallers, CONQUEST OF STEEL, who are playing their final ever show.  Bring your swords and shields for one last battle in their honour!

Meanwhile the Jagermeister stage welcomes four eclectic bands: DED ORSE, described by Kerrang! as the bastard son of Clutch and early Black Sabbath, Manchester’s TEN FOOT WIZARD, purveyors of power blues and stoner rock, CADENCE NOIR showcase their dark acoustic goth with a wealth of traditional instruments and finally, DARKHORSE; hard hitting stoner groove from Northants.

The 2014 ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ tour has been the most successful to date, with many shows sold out at 350+ capacity and every venue rammed to the rafters.  The scene is truly thriving at a grass roots level.  Regions covered so far include Plymouth, Dublin, Guernsey, Sheerness, Brighton, Norwich, Luton, Reading, Manchester, London, Glasgow and Nuneaton, with more to come.  More heats run through July and the final round of additions will be announced then.  In the meantime, the following lucky acts join the New Blood stage in August: ALONE WITH WOLVES from the Luton event (for fans of Bury Tomorrow, Architects, Alexisonfire), DOG TIRED from Glasgow’s heat (for fans of Pantera, Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity), JONESTOWN from Brighton (ex-Internal Conflict, delivering their brutal, angry, honest message), JACKNIFE SEIZURE from London (4-piece prog rock/metal), BACK DOWN OR DIE from the East of England (for fans of RATM, Hatebreed, Suicidal Tendencies), REPRISAL from Surrey (Dom Lawson-approved death/thrash), DARKEYE from London (heavy ass riffs for fans of Gojira and Triptykon), Manchester’s THE THREAT (progressive death metal/brutal jazz), SYNAPTIK from Norwich’s heat (melodic death/prog metal), RESIN from the Midlands (for fans of Alice In Chains and Alter Bridge), KING GOAT from the Brighton event (prog doom with psychedelic and Eastern influences) and finally, Kent’s UNFORSEEN PROPHECY (metalcore with unique female backing vox).
